Timothy Welsh


Timothy Welsh has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. He has significant experience in the entitlement, development, and the construction of multi-family, resort, and retirement communities throughout the U.S. He has worked with large publicly traded companies and privately held firms engaged in these product types.


Prior to joining AGA, Mr. Welsh was the Vice President of Development & Operations for Centex Destination Properties and Terra Mesa Development Group, who were engaged in the development, construction, and sales/marketing of various product types on three upscale Texas Resorts located on Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, and the Gulf Coast with a market value in excess of $200 million. Mr. Welsh was engaged in the entitlements of the properties, underwriting of all horizontal & vertical development, led construction teams for all vertical product built, was president of multiple homeowner and property owner associations on behalf of the Declarant, and assisted in setting all architectural building standards for the various developments.


Concurrent with his work at Centex and Terra Mesa, Mr. Welsh has operated his own consulting firm "TRW Construction and Real Estate Services, LLC" that has provided valuable services to real estate industry. Cypress Real Estate Advisors, a large equity firm is among his client list.

 


Mr. Welsh was a Vice President of Investments for Ameriton Properties, a real estate investment company, owned by Archstone Communities Trust, a NYSE listed REIT, since taken private. He was involved in the build-up of an investment portfolio of over $400 million in real estate value. At Ameriton, Mr. Welsh did much of the financial underwriting, investment memorandums, due diligence process, and construction oversight of the portfolio. Prior to joining Ameriton in the Denver office, Mr. Welsh served as an investment officer for Archstone Communities Trust in their Austin, Texas office responsible for three major sub-markets in the U.S.


Mr. Welsh has served at both the project management level and the vice president of construction positions with both The Weitz Company and CF Jordan, two of the pre-eminent general contractors in the U.S. Projects constructed include the Central Physical Plant at Denver International Airport, four independent care facilities on the East Coast, and multiple garden-style and infill multi-family projects throughout the Sunbelt states.


Mr. Welsh holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa and has a number of certifications earned in continuing education.
