John Escover

John is a leader, always has been, always will be. This trait is especially evident in his years as a United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant supervising military personnel in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).

After fulfilling his military duties, John headed to school. Park College for his B.S. in Criminal Justice, graduating Magna Cum Laude and then on to the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where he was a Law Review Write-On Invitee as well as a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. These days, John still keeps his fingers in the world of academia as he is an online Professor for the University of Phoenix in Arizona.

Professionally, John started out as the Lead Prosecutor in Williamson County's Attorney's Office, where he was responsible for prosecution of all classes of misdemeanors including bench and jury trials, plea negotiations, probation revocations hearings and appeals.

Then he went to the other side of the courtroom, becoming an Associate Attorney at Watson, Rossick PC, a firm specializing in toxic tort and products liability defense. A short stint at the Texas Lottery Commission had John investigating prosecuting and negotiating the largest fine ever assessed against a bingo game manufacturer in Texas.

Today, John is a partner in the firm of Putonti & Escover, PC, a firm with more than 25 years of litigation experience in transactional, debt recovery, contact, products liability, medical malpractice and employment law. Putonti & Escover are currently one of the largest debt recovery firms in Texas, servicing some 50 counties from central Texas to the Red River.
